What happens in a counselling session
Counselling can help take the first steps on your journey of healing and self-discovery, working in a supportive, confidential environment.
In our first session, we will meet either on-line or in person. I will ask for some personal information, including contact details, a brief history around what you are bringing to counselling and whether you are taking any prescribed medications. We then continue to talk about what you wish to explore in your counselling. This may be one thing or many.
We also discuss an initial number of sessions for us to work together, to see how we get on. This is usually 6 sessions and can be extended by mutual agreement.
I will send you a copy of my contract, for us both to sign, to agree to our terms of working together.
Each session is 50 minutes long, either in person or on Zoom. Sessions are usually held weekly.
Get in touch to arrange an initial 20 minute consultation.
Cost of counselling is £60 per session.
